The Forestlands Conservation Foundation has no paid staff. All contributions to the foundation are applied to the purchase costs of conservation land. We accept donations in the form of cash, check, complex assets, and real estate.
Donors may contribute generally or earmark gifts for the purchase of particular properties. Contributions are tax-deductible. All contributions help; donations of any amount are welcome.

Other Ways to Contribute
The Forestlands Conservation Foundation accepts contributions for land acquisitions and real estate due diligence costs in the form of:
- Zelle – use code: forestlands-conservation-foundation or scan the QR code and select FCF as a payee through Truist
- Donor-advised fund (DAF) giving – Donors can contribute one-time or recurring gifts, including legacy planning, through a DAF sponsor, providing the FCF information below.
- Additionally, you can select your donor-advised fund below and designate The Forestlands Conservation Foundation as the recipient of your gift, Tax ID No. 33-3327982.
- A donation via a bank check sent to FCF by mail
- A donation to FCF via ACH or Wire
- A transfer of securities to FCF
- A gift of real property to FCF
- Add FCF as a beneficiary of your estate
FCF was founded on a real estate syndicate model of investory philanthropy – where investor-philanthropists can pool resources to purchase critical conservation land when it becomes available. This provides an opportunity for philanthropists to direct their funds to specific projects and to see tangibly the land and biota protected with their investment.
Pooling the contributions of several investor-philanthropists provides the leverage needed due to the high costs of land acquisitions. This is a fulfilling opportunity for donors who want to purchase conservation land but do not have adequate resources to do so alone.

Internship Opportunity
FCF is offering a research internship for a college student in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, majoring in conservation biology, wildlife ecology, plant ecology, conservation planning, or a related field. Applicants should have strong research and writing skills and experience using ArcGIS, Excel, and PowerPoint.
